1st Golfo Festival 2024, in collaboration with the Deputy Mayor's Office for Public Relations –Communication – Protocol – Events of the Municipality of Aegialia, and the Community of Mesorougio, are organizing a divine service and memorial for the repose of the soul of the great Achaean creator Spyridon Peresiadis.

One hundred and seventy years since the birth of Spyridon Peresiadis (Mesorougi, Achaea, 1854), one hundred and thirty-one since the presentation of his play "Golfo" (Akrata, 1893), and thirty years since the founding and operation of the Municipal Art Gallery of Akrata "Zoe Psarrou," the 1st Golfo Festival 2024 is launching its first initiative.

As part of the 1st Golfo Festival 2024, it has been decided to publish the complete works of Spyridon Peresiadis, thus offering readers the opportunity to access the author's books, which are difficult to find today.

The students of the DELOS Drama School, under the guidance of their teacher Simos Kakalas, present Dimitris Dimitriadis' new play in the form of a theatrical analogy.

Following the performance of the play "Panhellenion," there will be a discussion between playwright Dimitris Dimitriadis and Simos Kakalas, who directed the play. 

Maria Fragki, Scientific Director and member of the Laboratory of Stage Action and Speech, Department of Theater Studies, University of Patras, is organizing and coordinating a Scientific Meeting with theoretical presentations on comedy, dramatic idyll, and other theater genres, as well as approaches related to heroes, authors, the era, etc.

Maria Fragki, PhD, member of the Department of Theater Studies, University of Patras, will moderate the roundtable discussion in the second part of the Scientific Meeting.

"Golfo in Progress" is an educational/artistic experiment that brings together actors from the new generation of drama school students in Greece, inspired by the work of Peresiadis.

A group of first- and second-year students from the Department of Theater Studies, dressed in traditional costumes and carrying musical instruments, perform a short musical and dance performance on site.

Ioanna Roilou, writer – theater scholar, member of the Department of Theater Studies at the University of Patras, member of the Laboratory of Stage Action and Speech, teaches and guides a group of students in the creation of theatrical monologues.

Students of the Department of Visual and Applied Arts (Florina) of the University of Western Macedonia, and the Department of Visual Arts and Art Sciences of the University of Ioannina, responding to the invitation of the 1st Golfo Festival 2024, are creating multifaceted visual artworks that are on display in the foyer of the University of Patras Conference Center.

The 1st Golfo Festival 2024 and the “Ellinikon Eidyllion” Music and Cultural Center, in collaboration with the Deputy Mayor's Office for Public Relations, Communication, and Protocol – Events of the Municipality of Aegialia, are organizing a unique evening of lyrical song and piano works.

The new edition of Spyridon Peresiadis' play “Golfo” is presented by Idifono Publications in Akrata, where the author lived and dictated the play to his relatives.

Director Elpida Skoufalou will record the performance “Panhellenion,” the discussion that will follow with Simo Kakalas, the students, and the audience, as well as her own conversation with author Dimitris Dimitriadis, in order to create an audiovisual portrait of this great modern Greek creator.
